   Gas Description

Neon (Ne) is a colorless, odorless, non-flammable rare gas. Typically, neon is used as a filling gas for colorful neon lights in outdoor advertising displays; in addition, it can be used for visual indicator lights, voltage regulation, and as a component in laser gas mixtures.

   Main Applications

1. Used in neon lights and as a filling medium in the electronics industry (e.g., high-pressure neon lamps, counting tubes, etc.);

2. Used in laser technology, as visual indicator lights, voltage regulation, and as a component in laser gas mixtures;

3. Neon-oxygen mixtures can replace helium-oxygen mixtures for breathing;

4. Used as a cryogenic coolant, standard gas, special gas mixtures, etc.;

5. Used in high-energy physics research, filling spark chambers with neon to detect particle tracks;

1. Transportation Notes: Non-corrosive, general materials can be used. Austenitic stainless steel can be used for liquid neon. Neon is generally stored and transported in glass or steel cylinders. Handle with care during storage and transportation to avoid container damage. Due to the small production volume of liquid neon, it can be stored and transported using containers similar to small liquid nitrogen shield-type liquid helium containers. When using such containers, the internal supports must be reinforced to accommodate the higher density of liquid neon;
2. Storage Notes: Store in a well-ventilated, cool, and dry place; handle with care.
